Rotary Club of Papatoetoe Central was established in October 2015. It is a charitable organization working with local professionals to raise funding for a good course. The club is represented by professionals in South Auckland. Majority of them are from Indian community although it is open to all ethnic groups and culture. It is also represented by few professional women from South Auckland with excellent leadership quality.

In last few years, the club has completed many community projects and served the wider South Auckland community. On 18 July 2020, Rotary Club Papatopetoe Central had their changeover function at Mehman India Restaurant in Howick, Auckland. Kulbir Singh, first turban-wearing Sikh became president of Rotary Club in New Zealand. The function was filled with vibrant people who are deeply passionate to serve and guide the community to better light. Kulbir Singh’s vibrant team includes philanthropist professionals such as, Lawyers, Teachers, Financial Advisors, Businessmen & Professionals. The members are Manu Singh, Raj Pradeep Singh, Yashveen Singh, Sunil Aggarwal, PJ Dhatt, Deepak Sharma, Gurjinder Singh, Raj Chand, Akhilesh Chaudhary, Praveen Chand, Nek Mohammed, Gurjinder Ghuman, Karnail Singh, Daman Kaur, Nikita Chand, Naleen Chand, Jaspinder Kaur, Gurpreet Kaur, Aloka Peacock, Mustaq Sheikh and many more.
Rotary values diversity and celebrates the contributions of people of all backgrounds, regardless of their age, ethnicity, race, color, abilities, religion, socioeconomic status, culture, sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity. The Rotary Club of Papatoetoe Central is soon completing 5 years milestone. The Papatoetoe Central chapter of Rotary (New Zealand, District 9920), among the relatively youngest chapters of the Rotary club, is promising loads of fun, entertainment, and satisfaction of helping a great cause, to their guests in the annual fundraising dinner.
